Design your Room Using Sketchup

Course Overview

Skills and Knowledge Acquired:
This course will provide students with the skills and knowledge to use SketchUp to create 3D models of a bedroom, as well as the interior design principles to properly arrange furniture, choose the best paint colors, accessories, and lighting for a bedroom. Students will also learn how to select the right wall colors, artwork, accessories, and lighting to complete the look of the bedroom. Additionally, students will gain an understanding of how to create their own virtual reality dream bedroom and post screenshots of their design on the Robeson Design Facebook page.


Contribution to Professional Growth:
This course contributes to professional growth by teaching users how to use SketchUp, a 3D modeling program, to design a bedroom. It also provides users with the knowledge of basic interior design principles, such as furniture placement, wall colors, artwork, accessories, and lighting. By the end of the course, users will be able to create customized designs for every room in their home, giving them the opportunity to design their own virtual reality dream bedroom.
